I would invite you to "Just
Say Moo,"
but that doesn't rhyme with
"No."
Why do cows say such things?
Why "Moo" ?
Why not "Guwhallop" ?
Why not "Zeffrignahew" ?
Many years ago I wrote a poem
about such a thing,
and Moocow has asked me to reproduce
it here:
The cows said nothing
but Moo.
That ageless, universal
cow sound.
Sometimes spelled Mu,
and some of them
say Moe.
For what reason is a mystery.
The calves cry Ma.
Can you blame them?
That’s all you wanted
at that age.
